Mummy Mug Class with Carrie Seay!
Come have a blast making a silly, creepy slab build clay mummy mug! Ages 8 & up. We will tear pre-made clay slabs and build our fantastic mummies with Carrie. Wednesday October 8, 6-7:30, $45. Block Printing Workshop with Doris Thurber!
Doris Thurber is a talented and prolific artist and visual storyteller, as well as a remarkable woman. Using collage, batik, and book making, her vibrant and inspiring work brightens any space and touches the heart. We are very excited to have Doris here on October 29, for a 2-hour printmaking workshop, this time with color! We will explore how to create relief prints of your design, carving into a printing block, inking, and then printing your block design. Your block can be used over and over to make prints on paper or fabric. For adults and teens 14 and up. All supplies included. 6:30-8:30 $55. To register hit the button below or call (502)545-6557. Reliquary Class
In this 4 week class, we will create and glaze several, what she calls reliquaries, out of clay. Based in Carrie’s love of Russian and Mexican icons, and blessings in general, she’s been making reliquaries for several years now. Carrie will guide you through a couple of different techniques for building a sacred hanging, or tabletop piece that holds a blessing for a space, a person, or special animal friend. Wonderful as gifts to honor a home or loved one, a child’s dorm room, or for yourself! Limited space, for ages 12 and up. Mondays, November 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 6-7:30pm. Must pre-register $125.
